Brady welcomes successful end to Bray sit-in protest
Wicklow Sinn Féin councillor John Brady has expressed relief that the sit in by the two homeless women of the Bray Town Council offices hasended successfully on Saturday evening after 26 hours. The Sinn Féin councillor had stayed with the two women for the full duration of the protest to show support.
Speaking after the protest ended councillor Brady said;
“I want to commend these very brave women who decided to take a stand for their children by refusing to go to the Homeless shelter over 40km away in Rathdrum. After a lengthy sit in of the Bray Town Council offices, lasting 26 hours, the protest was brought to a successful conclusion with all the basic demands laid down by the women being met.”
