Gun gangs not wanted – Paul Maskey

7 June, 2013

West Belfast MP Paul Maskey said gangs using guns within the community have nothing to offer. He was speaking after a teenager was shot in the leg in Turf Lodge.

The Sinn Féin MP said:

“There is no place for these gun gangs in our community and the people do not want them. Some people are masquerading as republicans when in fact they are involved in every shape of criminal activity.

“They have no concern whatsoever about the well-being of this community. This shooting damages the community and the people behind them need to stop."
