Gun gangs offer community nothing – Paul Maskey

28 June, 2013 - by Westminster

Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has called on the gangs masquerading as defenders of the community to leave the people alone.

The West Belfast MP was commenting after three men were shot in the legs in the Glen Road area last night.

Paul Maskey said:

“It is well documented that the gangs responsible for these type of attacks are heavily involved in criminality themselves.

“They offer the community nothing but misery and the people can see through their hypocrisy of claiming to be helping the community.

“These gangs will not stop this community from moving forward and the sooner they get the message that they are not wanted, the better.”
