Cullinane welcomes John Douglas as ICTU president
Sinn Féin spokesperson on workers’ rights, David Cullinane, has welcomed the election of Mandate general secretary, John Douglas, as president of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.
“John Douglas has been a strong advocate for working people, particularly low-paid workers. He has stood against the failed austerity policies which have caused such hardship for working people.
“No doubt he will be strong voice for social and economic justice and for the rights workers in his new role as president of ICTU.”
