Great sporting occasion for North Belfast – Sinn Féin MLAs

17 July, 2013 - by Gerry Kelly, Carál Ní Chuilín

North Belfast Sinn Féin MLAs Carál Ní Chuilín and Gerry Kelly said they hope that all the fans arriving at Solitude for the Champions League game between Cliftonville and Celtic have a great experience.

Carál Ní Chuilín said:

“This is a great occasion for the current Irish League champions and for North Belfast. Already there is a buzz around the area with the Celtic and Reds fans enjoying the build up to the big game.

“Hopefully all the Celtic fans that have travelled to the game will have a good experience of North Belfast and that it is an enjoyable night for all. Cliftonville FC have done a tremendous job in making it possible for so many fans to attend the game and the atmosphere around Ireland’s oldest soccer club is electric.

Sinn Féin MLA Gerry Kelly said:

“This is a great sporting event for North Belfast and I hope everyone enjoys the occasion. I would appeal to all the supporters to follow instructions from stewards and police on attending and leaving the ground so that they get home safely. Come on the Reds!”
