Adams addresses London conference on new phase in Peace Process
Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams TD is the keynote speaker at a conference in London tomorrow.
The conference entitled 'Towards a New Ireland – A new phase of the peace process’, will also hear from Colin Parry whose son Timothy was killed by an IRA bomb in Warrington and Jonathan Powell - Tony Blair's former Chief of Staff.
The conference takes place at the London Irish Centre, 50-52 Camden Square, London, NW1 9XB.
Gerry Adams will speak on the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement, the legacy of conflict, and advancing the peaceful re-unification of Ireland.
The conference itself involves wide-ranging discussions on the peace process, reconciliation, the idea of a Border Poll, Ireland’s economic future and challenges facing the the Irish in Britain.
As well as Colin Parry and Jonathan Powell, other speakers on the day include Diane Abbott MP, Nessa Childers MEP, John McCallister MLA, Jeremy Corbyn MP and Kris Hopkins MP, Baroness Angela Smith, Senator Kathryn Reilly and John Douglas.
Gerry Adams will address the conference at 10.15am tomorrow (Saturday).
