Gallagher to seek co-option to Fingal County Council
Mr. Felix Gallagher will today seek to be co-opted onto Fingal County Council in place of Martin Christie at today's monthly meeting scheduled to be held at 3.45pm at Council offices in County Hall, Swords.

Mr. Gallagher is a Community Development worker in Corduff, and has worked in the local area over the last number of years. Currently he is engaged in a broad range of local projects, including:
- Local Drug Task Force (Policing Forum)
- Forum 15 ˆ Community Forum
- Blanchardstown Social Inclusion Group
- Corduff Facilities Park
- Blanchardstown Playground Group
On an ongoing basis Felix works with local people on issues such as housing, health, anti-social behaviour and improving general living conditions for the people of Blanchardstown. His work has involved him dealing with departments within Fingal County Council. As a councillor he believes that he will be able to exercise more influence on the council on behalf of local people.
Mr. Gallagher is a long-standing Republican having joined Sinn Féin in the early 90's. He has worked and contributed to An Phoblacht / Republican News, the official voice of the Republican Movement in Ireland.
With a BA Degree, Mr. Gallagher specialises in Community Development. He is married with a young family and has a real understanding of the challenges and issues confronting young people attempting to raise families today.
As a councillor, he is committed to serving the people of the area and will make himself available to consult on local concerns. ENDS
