Welcome for announcement of new inquest into Belfast shooting
Sinn Féin MLA Fra McCann has welcomed the decision by Attorney General John Larkin to order a new inquest into the death of Marion Brown who was shot dead in 1972.
Mr McCann said,
“The decision today to order a new inquest is welcome in the search by the family of Marion Brown to find the truth about her killing.
“It is obvious that the initial inquiry into the shooting was unsatisfactory.
“This new inquest now has the opportunity to give the Brown family the truth into who killed Marion.
“There must be full disclosure by the both the British MOD and PSNI in order for the start date of the inquest to be set.”
