Sinn Féin Ard Chomhairle to meet in Strokestown – Martin Kenny
Sinn Féin’s Roscommon South Leitrim by-election candidate Councillor Martin Kenny has announced that the Sinn Féin Ard Chomhairle will be meeting in Strokestown, County Roscommon tomorrow (Saturday 20th September).
Councillor Kenny said that he was delighted that members of the party’s leadership would be joining him on the campaign trail on Saturday afternoon.
Councillor Kenny said;
“I want to welcome the fact that the Ard Chomhairle meeting is taking place in Strokestown, County Roscommon tomorrow.
“I am delighted that members of the party leadership including Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD, Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, Deputy Party Leader Mary Lou McDonald TD, Finance Spokesperson Pearse Doherty TD, MEP Matt Carthy and the North’s Agriculture Minister Michelle O’Neill will be joining me on the campaign trail on Saturday afternoon.
“Roscommon and South Leitrim has been failed by politics in the past – failed and let down by Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael led governments. Promises have been broken. The area has never been a priority for job creation or investment. People are living with second class public services and undrinkable water.
“Sinn Féin is committed to delivering real improvements to people’s standards of living and quality of life. We are putting forward an alternative based on fairness, equality and Irish Unity.
“I will be asking voters to endorse this alternative by electing a Sinn Féin TD for Roscommon South Leitrim to strengthen Sinn Féin Dáil team that is leading the way in standing up for you and holding the government to account.” ENDS
