8 October, 2014 - by Cathal Boylan

Cathal Boylan MLA has said the GAA is at the heart of local communities across the North.

Speaking after Sports Minister Carál Ní Chuilín hosted a reception for Ulster's All-Ireland winning ladies GAA teams at Stormont, the Newry and Armagh MLA said;

"I would like to congratulate all the Ulster GAA ladies who attended the reception hosted by Minister Carál Ní Chuilín at Stormont on Tuesday.

"Their success in winning all-Ireland titles is a credit to clubs and counties.

"The GAA is the backbone of communities across the island, promoting health, fitness and teamwork for thousands of young people.

"I attended the reception and had the pleasure of congratulating Aogan Ó Fearghail, Ulster GAA president elect, on his recent appointment.

"I wish all of the ladies who attended this reception more sporting success in the future."
