Adams accuses Kenny of ‘flip-flopping’ on Budget and housing policy
Responding to remarks by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny this afternoon, Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams said:
"Yesterday in the Dáil, when I raised with the Taoiseach the need for his Government to take an initiative on the issue of social housing in the Budget which would also act as a stimulus to the construction sector, he dismissed the suggestion.
"In the space of a day, Mr Kenny has flip-flopped and now echoes the points I made to him yesterday."Homeless families and others facing distress due to the housing situation do not need statements, they need action which would deal not only with homelessness and the housing crisis but assist construction workers and the economy."
