McGinley condemns those behind bomb attack
Sinn Féin councillor Eric McGinley has condemned those responsible for an explosion in a van in the Hazlebank area of Derry.
Speaking after the explosion in the Drumard Park area of Hazlebank in the early hours of Sunday morning, councillor McGinley said;
"This explosion outside the home of a woman in her 70s must be condemned.
"While it is not yet known whether this was the work of a group or an individual, it is clear that this could have caused serious injury to anyone in the area."There can be no justification for attacks like this.
"The local community to not want these type of incidents and I am calling on those responsible to stop immediately.
"Whoever was behind this attack showed absolutely no regard for the people of Hazelbank or the wider city."
