Suspect device disrupts entire community - Cllr Magennis

27 October, 2014

Sinn Féin Councillor for the Poleglass area Stephen Magennis has stated that those who left a suspect device in Cloona Manor have disrupted an entire community.

Speaking today Cllr Magennis said:

“Those who are responsible for leaving a suspect device at a house in Cloona Manor have disrupted an entire community with families having to leave their homes in the middle of the night.

“While there are ongoing concerns surrounding anti-social activity in the area this is not the way to resolve it.

“Sinn Féin have been working closely with local residents, the PSNI and the relevant housing authorities to resolve ongoing issues of anti-social behaviour in the area.

“For Sinn Féin the ongoing safety of the residents is paramount and we will continue to work tirelessly to achieve this. It will not be achieved by causing more upset to the residents through these type of actions.”
