“This Irish language version of the book ‘Wall murals of Belfast’ is a welcome addition to the already in print English language version.
“Political tourism which includes tours of the wall murals have become very popular and this booklet allows Irish speakers to get a full history and interpretation of the murals in their own language.
“Many schools including Irish medium schools can use the tours for a living history exercise so having the book published in Irish will certainly benefit these schools.
“The book also incorporates GPS co ordinates and distances fro City Hall allowing out of town visitors to easily access the murals.
“I am sure that the book will be a success and can be used for those learning the language to add increase their vocabulary.
“The book was launched as part of Fleadh Feirste who’s aim is to celebrate the spirit of Belfast Gaeltacht Quarter which represents a new set of voices in the city where imagination, initiative and achievements thrive.”
