Education report shows success of Sinn Féin policies - Hazzard
Sinn Féin Education spokesperson Chris Hazzard has said the latest report into progress in post-primary education makes very good reading.
Mr Hazzard said,
"I am delighted the report of exam results has shown that the policies implemented by successive Sinn Féin ministers are making inroads into bringing equality into education.
"It highlights that policies like 'Every school a good school' and Free School Meals entitlement are having a positive impact especially in areas of high deprivation.
"However, the main statistic is that we are tackling literacy and numeracy with more children gaining the minimum five GSCEs including Maths and English and this has to be commended.
"Sinn Féin is determined that every child has the opportunity to fulfill their potential and this report only reinforces the need to stay on track and to continue to make improvements so every child has access to a first-class education."
