McCann raises concerns over DUP's attitude to committee inquiry
Sinn Féin MLA Fra McCann has raised concerns over the DUP's attitude towards a DSD committee inquiry into alleged political interference in the Housing Executive.
Mr McCann, a member of the social development committee, said;
"At today's sitting of the inquiry into the allegations raised in the BBC Spotlight programme of political interference in the Housing Executive, DUP councillor Jenny Palmer, who claims she was bullied by officials from within her own party, was reduced to tears.
"The inquiry had to be suspended for a short time as a result.
"This is a clear reflexion of the intense pressure she has been felt from DUP colleagues.
"I am very concerned and disappointed at the way in which the DUP are treating this committee inquiry."
