Milne welcomes large attendance at farm roadshow meeeting
Sinn Féin MLA Ian Milne has said the huge crowds at the meeting last night in Draperstown last night underlined the interest among farmers in finding out their entitlements.
Mr Milne said;
“Last night’s attendance at the first of the information meeting organised by Sinn Féin not only highlights the need for these meetings but also the interest among farmers in getting their full entitlements on time.
“The meeting attended by Agriculture Minister Michelle O’Neill and officials from the Department of Agriculture outlined the changes to CAP and Single Farm Payments as well as dealing with many other rural issues.
“The full attendance shows the interest among farmers and rural dwellers in accessing information about their sector is massive and Sinn Féin is determined to continue these engagements.
“Over the coming weeks similar meetings will be held in rural communities across the North and I am expecting the same level in interest in these coming meetings.”
