PSNI must cooperate with inquests - Sheehan
Sinn Féin MLA and Policing Board member Pat Sheehan has said the PSNI must cooperate with inquests to allow families access to truth and justice.
The West Belfast MLA said;
"The delays in the PSNI disclosing materials for inquests is placing yet another obstacle in front of families in their search for truth.
"The latest delays in the inquest into the killing of Sean Brown, who was shot dead by loyalists in 1997, highlights the extent of these delays.
"I welcome the fact the Policing Board's performance committee have expressed concerns at the PSNI's continued delays in completing the disclosure process.
"We will be raising this issue with the Chief Constable at the Policing Board to ensure families are not denied access to truth and justice."
