Irish Water must give answers on water supply in Lucan area- Cllr Danny O Brien
Sinn FéinSouth Dublin County Cllr Danny O Brien has today called on Irish water to give the people of Lucan answers to how long their water supply will be affected with the change to the supply announced last week.
Cllr O Brien said
“The water supply for the area is now coming mostly from the Leixlip reservoir (75%) and 25% from the Ballymore Eustace reservoir. This change also happened last year and I had countless complaints from people about kettles and washing machines breaking down because the Leixlip water is much harder.
The affected areas of Lucan include;
Adamstown, Arthur Griffith, Ash Park, Bewley, Castle Riada, Dodsborough, Elmbrook, Esker, Fforster, Finnstown, estates in the environs of Griffeen Road and Avenue, Hayden’s Park, Hillcrest, Moyglass, St. Andrew’s, Weston and Willsbrook
I emailed Irish water last Thursday to see how long the people of Lucan will be affected by this change to supply and as of now I still have not had a response to my email.
The people of Lucan deserve more notice and information from Irish water than they are getting now.”
