Maskey condemns those behind west Belfast bomb
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has condemned those responsible for placing a bomb under a car in the St James' area of west Belfast.
Speaking after a device partially exploded under a vehicle at St James' Road, the West Belfast MP said;
“Thankfully no one has been injured in this attack.
"This incident has brought nothing but disruption to the local area and must be condemned.
"Local resident have been evacuated from their homes as a result of the ongoing security operation.
"I would like to commend the local community group, St James' Forum, for opening up their premises to accommodate the residents who have been moved from their homes.
"Those behind this incident have nothing to offer society and are not reflective of the local community.
"They need to stop these actions immediately and let people in the area get on with their live in peace."
