Donegal Sinn Féin to hold Údarás Na Gaeltachta convention

Donegal Sinn Féin will host a convention to select its candidate/s for the Údarás Na Gaeltachta election that is to be held in April 2005.

The convention will take place in Teach Jack in Gweedore on Saturday night (13th November). In attendance will be Aengus Ó Snódaigh T.D. along with the local Sinn Féin Councillors.

The party aims for the first time in history to elect a member onto the board of Údarás Na Gaeltachta." ENDS

Editors note

There are currently four elected members on the board of Údaras from Donegal these are Cllr. Brian O Domhnaill, Cllr. David Alcorn, Cllr. Padraig Doherty, and Sean O Baoill.

The Quota last time was 2,250 votes.

The election will be held on April 2nd 2005

Pearse Doherty has ruled himself out of standing.
