Chris Andrews calls on citizens to mobilise for Right2Water demonstration this Saturday
Dublin Sinn Féin councillor Chris Andrews has called on all those opposed to water charges to mobilise for the national Right2Water demonstration taking place this Saturday the 21st of March.
Speaking today ahead of the national demonstration Cllr Andrews said:
“We must demonstrate to this government that water charges are unacceptable, that access to water is a human right and water is not a commodity.
This Saturday families from across the country will gather in Dublin City to protest peacefully against this unfair and unjust tax.
Sinn Féin is proud to stand with the thousands of people who have stood against the imposition of water charges and we will continue to do so.
The abolition of water charges is a red line issue for us entering government after the next election and we will stand by our pledge to abolish these charges.”
