Inquiry must answer parents deep concerns
Sinn Féin Health Spokesperson, John O Dowd MLA has said the inquiry into the deaths of Lucy Crawford, Adam Strain and Raychel Ferguson must not only be open independent but also be vigorous in its search for the truth.
"While this Inquiry has been called for by the Health Department, it must take all and any necessary measures to ensure that the families of these 3 young children are kept fully informed and briefed on their rights in relation to the Inquiry and they must be kept up to date on progress.
"The success of this Inquiry will be measured against its ability to address all the relevant issues in an open, transparent and accountable manner. Raychel, Adam and Lucy's parents have been let down too often. It is important this Inquiry allows them to complete the grieving process and to ensure that the mistakes made never happen again." ENDS
