“These workers have been left without any other option but to strike. They are people from our communities who are standing up for the right of workers to secure hours and decent terms & conditions. The Dunnes Stores workers deserve our support.
“Unfortunately, the management of Dunnes Stores think that it is acceptable to treat their staff badly.
“The current situation is not right. Dunnes Stores is attempting to force their workers to accept zero hour contracts and poor pay. They are also trying undermine the right of workers to union membership.
“This not an appropriate way to treat workers and it must be challenged.
“Sinn Fein stands in solidarity with the workers of Dunnes Stores
“I am calling on the management of Dunnes Stores to engage with the union representatives of the workers and to negotiate an acceptable and fair agreement."
