DCC successfully passes motion to halt half-baked refurbishment of O' Devaney Gardens
The Sinn Féin team in Dublin City Council has successfully supported a motion that halted Minister Alan Kelly's plans to house homeless families in inadequate accommodation in O' Devaney Gardens.
The motion was passed 43 for, 10 against with three abstaining.
Speaking after the vote Cllr Janice Boylan said:
"Homeless families need a permanent solution. The proposed refurbishment of a number of dwellings is completely inadequate when a full regeneration is needed for the area."
