Swords needs Metro North- Louise O’Reilly
Following the leaking of the six proposals for a rail link to North County Dublin, Sinn Féin is calling on the Transport Minister not to leave the people of Swords and the North County behind.
Sinn Féin candidate for Dublin Fingal, Louise O'Reilly said:
“The Minister needs to consider the needs of the people of Swords and North County Dublin who have been waiting for a rail link for decades.
Metro North would benefit the people of Swords and surrounding areas and we are calling on Minister Donohoe to seriously consider this option.
It is long past time that the people of North County Dublin had access to a rapid link to the city and the Minister should not delay this project any longer.
It is absolutely disgraceful, especially when we consider that there is a Minister and two government TDs in this constituency that this project is still only being considered.
It is now time for action and time for a decent transport link to Swords and surrounding areas"
