Bar attack was shocking and disgraceful - McKenna
Sinn Féin councillor Gemma McKenna has called on the IFA to investigate an alleged sectarian attack involving football supporters on a bar in Portadown.
Speaking after an incident at a bar in Portadown where customers and staff were allegedly attacked by Linfield fans and windows broken, councillor McKenna said;
"This attack was shocking and disgraceful.
"It is the second such incident in Portadown in less than 12 months.
"Following a previous incident my party colleagues and I raised concerns with the PSNI over policing around matches and how fans were policed travelling to and from the ground.
"We will also be raising this latest incident with the PSNI to discuss what measures can be put in place to prevent a repeat of such attacks in the future.
"I would also call on the IFA to investigate the matter, as they have done on previous occasions when fans have been involved in allegedly sectarian incidents."
