Young people in Fingal east forgotten- Cllr Cathleen Carney Boud

27 May, 2015 - by Cathleen Carney Boud

Sinn Féin councillor for Drumcondra-Glasnevin Cathleen Carney Boud has called for youth services to be extended to the Ballygall area.

Speaking about ongoing incidents of anti-social behaviour especially in Johnstown Park Cllr Carney Boud said:

“There is undoubtedly a deficit of youth facilities in the Ballygall area, which has unfortunately lead to pockets of anti-social behaviour.

“To tackle this problem we need a two pronged approach.

“I have already spoken with the Gardaí and they have confirmed they have increased their presence in the Johnstown Park area.

“There is a Drop In youth services bus that serves Charlestown, which needs to be extended to the Johnstown Park area at least one night per week.”
