Alan Dukes must clarify comments regarding IBRC board appointee – Peadar Tóibín TD
Sinn Féin Junior Spokesperson on Finance, Peadar Tóibín TD, has demanded that Alan Dukes clarify comments which he made regarding the involvement of Richard Woodhouse, IBRC’s then head of asset management in the sale of Siteserv.
Deputy Tóibín said:
“Alan Dukes declared a number of weeks ago that Mr Woodhouse was expressly kept out of discussions over the Siteserv deal, as he also managed the relationship between the bank and Denis O’ Brien. There was a conflict of interest.
“However, minutes of the IBRC Board meeting published last night, where the sale of Siterserv to Denis O’ Brien was discussed, show that Mr Woodhouse was present.
“It is clear that there are inconsistencies in what Alan Dukes has been saying. Either he was withholding significant and critical information or was mistaken, and I am calling upon him to set the record straight.
“This latest revelation shows the dysfunctionality at the heart of IBRC governance and it is further evidence of the need of a comprehensive Commission of Investigation."
