Bloody Sunday families need to be kept appraised during investigation
Sinn Féin MLA Raymond McCartney has said that the relatives of the victims of Bloody Sunday need to be kept appraised of the investigation into the murder of their loved ones.
Speaking after the PSNI announced it had contacted 100 former soldiers as witnesses Mr McCartney said,
"We reiterate our call on the PSNI to honour the commitments given to the Bloody Sunday families in 2012 that a full and proper investigation would be carried out.
“This includes keeping the families informed of all updates in the investigation.
"Sinn Féin supported the families’ call that this investigation be properly resourced to ensure the relatives get access to justice.
"We will continue to support the Bloody Sunday families in their campaign for truth and justice."
