Former ministers invited to appear before Assembly NAMA inquiry – McKay
Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay said today that a Stormont committee set up to examine the sale of NAMA’s northern property portfolio has agreed to invite two former finance ministers to give evidence to the inquiry.
The North Antrim MLA and chair of the Assembly’s finance committee, said:
“The committee heard today from civil servants from the Department of Finance.
“The Permanent Secretary of the Department of Finance has committed to coming back before the committee with responses to some of the questions posed today and I welcome that.
“We have also agreed today to invite two former finance ministers, Sammy Wilson and Simon Hamilton, to appear before the committee when it next meets in a fortnight’s time.”
