No excuses for stoning buses

8 August, 2015 - by Tony McCaul

Sinn Féin Councillor Tony McCaul has said that there are no excuses whatsoever for attacking any bus with stones.

Speaking after a bus returning from the annual Apprentice Boys of Derry march was attacked going through Dungiven Councillor McCaul said,

“I understand a young girl is amongst those who has been injured after a stone was hurled at a bus travelling through Dungiven from the Apprentice Boys March in Derry.

“I hope that the girl is not too seriously injured and that she and the others makes a full and speedy recovery.

“There is no excuse for attacking a bus with stones and again we are fortunate not to be dealing with a much more serious incident where people could have been killed if the driver lost control of the vehicle.”
