Campbell slams vandals behind attack on suicide charity
Sinn Féin councillor Mary Ellen Campbell has slammed those who vandalised the PIPS suicide prevention and awareness charity on the Antrim Road overnight.
Councillor Campbell said:
“This is a devastating blow to everyone involved with the PIPS charity which provides vital services to people in crisis and those bereaved by suicide.
“PIPS was attacked overnight and substantial damage has been done including windows smashed, interior damage and the theft of essential computer equipment.
“This is a serious set back to the organisation.
“The community will rally round to offer its support to have the damage repaired so that services can be restored as soon as possible.
“I’m appealing to anyone with information to bring that forward to the PSNI urgently so those responsible can be held to account for this disgraceful crime.”
