Opportunity to elect two Sinn Féin candidates in North Antrim
Sinn Féin has said that there is an opportunity to elect two Sinn Féin candidates in North Antrim in the forthcoming Assembly election.
Speaking at a selection convention in Dunloy where Daithí McKay and Cara McShane were endorsed by the local membership Mr McKay MLA said,
“Sinn Féin has grown in North Antrim over the past few years to the extent that we have decided to stand two candidates in this election.
“This election is an important opportunity for the public to send a message to the Tory government in London that austerity has failed.
“My friend and Councillor Cara McShane is an exceptional candidate who was the Chairperson of the old Moyle Council and was to the forefront of the campaign to save Dalriada Hospital. She will make an excellent addition to our team at the Assembly.
Cara McShane added
“Sinn Féin will go to the polls on a manifesto of fighting austerity and building a society based upon equality.
“I am honoured to be selected alongside my colleague Daithí McKay who continues to represent and deliver for the people of North Antrim.
“I am confident that the Sinn Féin team in North Antrim have the ability and commitment to deliver an increase in the Republican vote in the constituency.” ENDS
