Cllr Ní Dhálaigh states housing priorities ahead of meeting with Minister Kelly

2 September, 2015 - by Máire Devine

Sinn Féin Dublin City Councillor Críona Ní Dhalaigh has laid out some of her priorities ahead of her cross party meeting on housing with Minister Alan Kelly in Dublin today.

Cllr Ní Dhálaigh stated:

“I am looking forward to meeting with the Minister today to discuss and propose some measures to tackle the housing crisis in Dublin.

“I would be severely disappointed if after this afternoon’s meeting there is no firm action plan.

“The Minister’s department, council officials and elected representatives must all work together to come up with workable, sustainable solutions to the housing crisis.

“Some of the issues I hope to raise today include, the shortfall in funding for homeless services, modular housing, the streamlining of the funding and planning process for building local authority and associated housing body housing and a review of the 20 point plan.”
