Finance departments have questions to answer over NAMA sale - McKay
Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay has said the departments of finance north and south have questions to answer over the events leading to the sale of NAMA's property portfolio in the North.
Mr McKay said;
"What we heard at the Finance Committee inquiry today from Gareth Graham was an extraordinary testimony.
"Mr Graham's evidence raises huge questions about the integrity of the sale of NAMA's northern property portfolio. These need to be answered.
"The testimony given today outlined yet another example of how businesses in the north have suffered as a result of the sale of the Project Eagle portfolio.
"There are clearly questions to be asked of the Department of Finance in Dublin and its counterpart in the North as to what criteria was used in the appointment of advisors to NAMA's northern advisory committee.
"What we have here is the makings of a huge scandal surrounding the biggest property deal in the north's history. If parties involved in this have nothing to hide then they must come before the NAMA inquiry."
