Wilson and Hamilton need to confirm Finance Committee attendance – McKay
Chair of the Assembly Finance Committee, Daithí McKay has called on former Finance Ministers, Sammy Wilson and Simon Hamilton to confirm that they will attend the Committee’s Inquiry into NAMA’s sale of its Northern Portfolio.
Mr. McKay said:
“I have written to both former Finance Ministers on four occasions on behalf of the Finance Committee to invite them to make themselves available to answer questions concerning their meetings with NAMA.
“I am once more requesting publicly, that Sammy Wilson and Simon Hamilton confirm that they will come before the committee to answer these questions.
“There is a public expectation that elected representatives are open and transparent in all their actions that could affect public confidence.
“These two former DUP Finance Ministers have an obligation to the general public to assist this Inquiry to clarify their dealings with NAMA and its Northern advisory committee.”
