Sinn Féin in government will deliver better healthcare, housing and childcare - Adams
Sinn Féin Leader Gerry Adams TD highlighted the inequality at the heart of Fine Gael/Labour policy, and outlined Sinn Féin’s policy plans for better healthcare, housing and childcare. Teachta Adams was speaking today at a major Sinn Féin policy conference including hundreds of representatives from across the island.
Gerry Adams said:
“This week Sinn Féin launched its alternative budget proposals for the coming year
“Our budget proposals would invest twice as much as the government in our public services and the economy and how we would deliver a fair tax policy that would benefit the majority in society.
“The difference between us and the government we will invest in public services and in fairness. This government is promising more of the same, more money for the wealthy, hardship for families and workers. This is a government that brought chaos and crisis to health and housing.
“This is a government that cannot even set an election date.
“Hardship, homelessness, inequality are the outworking of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Labour policy.
“Today is a final step towards what Sinn Féin would do in government.
“Over 300 activists and elected representatives from across Ireland have come together to discuss and finalise our plans for how Sinn Féin in government can deliver better healthcare, better housing and better childcare.
“The policies when finalised will be published in the coming weeks.”
