Reprieve for Hope House welcomed
Sinn Féin MLA and junior Minister Jennifer McCann has welcomed the decision to keep Hope House Centre at Twinbrook open.
Speaking this morning Ms. McCann said,
"This centre provides a essential frontline service for vulnerable adults and their families. The threat of closure had a caused a great deal of distress on the service users and their families.
“There are many people in the area who are suffering from mental health issues who use the centre on a regular basis and without it would find it difficult to manage.
“I have visited this centre for a number of years and have seen at first hand the excellent service that is provided there."
“I am delighted that the campaign to keep the centre opened has been successful and would congratulate all those involved in proving the need for this centre in the Twinbrook area.”
