Dualtagh Donnelly's family deserve answers - Adams
Sinn Féin Leader and Louth TD Gerry Adams has given a "cautious welcome to Health Minister Leo Varadkar's decision to hold a review into, and for a report to be prepared, on the death of Dualtagh Donnelly.
Gerry Adams said:
"After meeting Mr Donnelly's family, including his partner Lindsay Cooney, I undertook to write to the Minister seeking information into the circumstances of his death.
"The Minister's admission that not all ambulances were on that night and that the ambulance service is understaffed tells us nothing new.
"The report into Dualtagh Donnelly's death must be thorough and transparent and made available to the public. It also needs to be carried out within a tight timeframe.
"The family deserve answers and the public needs reassurance that the ambulance service is being properly resourced by government."
