16 November, 2015 - by Carál Ní Chuilín

Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín has said someone could have been seriously injured when a death driver crashed at speed into a car parked on the New Lodge Road knocking it on to the pavement.

Carál Ní Chuilín said:

“A man driving a car at speed on the New Lodge Road crashed into a parked car around 6pm last night.

“The impact forced the parked car which belonged to a local woman up on to the pavement.

“The woman’s car was written off but thankfully no one was injured.

“The driver got out of the car and ran off.

“No one in this community wants to see a return to the scourge of death driving.

“I am calling therefore on anyone with any information about this incident or the identity of the driver to come forward to the PSNI.”
