Ó Donnghaile welcomes PSNI drugs discovery in East Belfast
Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile has welcomed the discovery of a substantial amount of drugs during the search of a house in Bryson Street last night.
Commenting after he spoke to the PSNI locally Cllr Ó Donnghaile said;
"Firstly I welcome the removal of such a large quantity of drugs and other dangerous items from our streets. The community in the Short Strand reject totally those who would try and pollute our area with such blatant disregard.
"This is precisely the type of proactive policing the community this area support. We want a safer neighbourhood where those who would try to contaminate our young people with drugs are taken off the streets.
"Last night's discovery is a positive move in reassuring local residents."
