Time for Senator O’Brien to condemn corruption - Louise O’Reilly

9 December, 2015

Sinn Féin election candidate for Dublin Fingal, Louise O’Reilly, has called on Fianna Fáil Senator Darragh O’ Brien to condemn the corruption alleged in an RTE programme earlier this week.

O’Reilly said:

“Darragh O’Brien who is usually so quick out of the traps voicing his opinion to media, has been unusually quiet on latest corruption allegations emanating from his party.

“The people of Fingal deserve to hear where the Fianna Fáil general election candidate stands on this important issue.

“Sinn Féin has been unequivocal on this matter.

“We have legislation ready that would establish an independent planning regulator and our Dáil deputies have called on the government to allow time for it to proceed through the Oireachtas before the election is called.

“Voters are tired of the same old tales of corruption and the establishment parties have done very little to assuage this sentiment.

“This latest scandal is another example as to why people would be better with Sinn Féin.”
