Finance committee to write to NAMA to seek clarity over meetings - McKay
Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay has welcomed the decision of the finance committee to write to NAMA requesting it clarifies what it knew of meetings between Frank Cushnahan, senior government officials and private companies going back until 2011.
Mr McKay said:
"Following evidence to the committee inquiry this week it is clear there are more questions which need answered about the sale of NAMA's northern portfolio.
"It emerged that Frank Cushnahan, while a member of NAMA's northern advisory committee, also had clients who could have benefitted from the sale.
"This raises further questions around meetings which took place with these clients and what was discussed.
"The committee inquiry has now agreed to write to NAMA to ask what it knew about this.”
