Sinn Féin will continue to oppose fracking - McMullan
Sinn Féin MLA Oliver McMullan has said Sinn Féin will continue to oppose fracking anywhere on the island of Ireland.
Mr McMullan said;
"Sinn Féin has been to the fore in opposing fracking throughout Ireland.
"We have made it clear that fracking will not be accepted in the Glens or any part of the island.
"Our representatives have opposed fracking in the Assembly, in the Dáil and in the European Parliament and will continue to do so.
"As British MPs vote to allowing fracking under national parks and world heritage sites it is important that we send out a clear and united message that this controversial method will not be used in Ireland.
"Not only do the Tories have a total disregard for the welfare of communities as evidenced by their austerity policies, it is clear that they also have a complete lack of regard for the environment."
