Kearney welcomes £800,000 Dunsilly GAA funding
Sinn Féin's Declan Kearney has welcomed Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín's announcement of £800,000 for new GAA facilities at Dunsilly.
Mr Kearney said;
"This £800,000 funding boost for Dunsilly from Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín is a great boost, not just for the GAA but also the wider community.
"It will help towards the building of new changing facilities, car parking and fencing at Antrim GAA's ground at Dunsilly.
"When this project is finished next August it will transform GAA facilities in Antrim and 30,000 people are expected to use the facility in the first year.
"This project illustrates the central role of the GAA in communities, providing first-class facilities for all, including groups who do not traditionally take part in sporting activities.
"It is also further evidence of Carál Ní Chuilín's and Sinn Féin's commitment to improve lives by investing in communities."
