Sinn Féin to launch general election campaign in Dublin South West.
Sinn Féin will officially launch its campaign to elect Mayor Sarah Holland and Seán Crowe TD, this Wednesday (27th Jan.) at 7pm in Rua Red arts centre, Tallaght.
Sinn Féin TD and party spokesperson for Finance, Pearse Doherty will be in attendance and address the gathering on the night.
Mayor of South Dublin County Council and resident of Rathfarnham, Cllr. Sarah Holland, who is a fluent Irish speaker and a Management graduate, stated that two Sinn Féin seats are undoubtedly achievable.
Mayor Holland said;
“There is great energy and positivity around our campaign to date. Both Seán and I have been knocking on doors daily and together, Sinn Féin activists have visited thousands of homes.
“We’ve spoken to families in need of housing and better childcare. Their overwhelming response indicates a need, and demand for alternative governance.
“Fine Gael’s continued divorce of social development and economic development is leaving citizens behind.
“Sinn Féin’s priority is ensuring that the voices of those resident in Dublin South West continues to be heard at a national level.
Mayor Holland concluded;
“My comrade, Seán Crowe TD has proven his commitment to community, having provided representation since becoming a Councillor in 1999, and I’m passionate about joining Seán in Leinster House.
Seán Crowe TD added;
“Sinn Féin has a proven track record of hard work and honest representation for the people of Tallaght and Dublin South West. That has been evident through the work of our Councillors and Sinn Féin activists.
“Now is the opportunity to make history and send the strongest ever Sinn Féin team to Leinster House – a team that is not afraid to ask the difficult questions and deliver real social and political change.
“I welcome as many people as possible to the launch in Rua Red arts centre on Wednesday night to officially kick off this historic campaign”.
