Nolan urges Tipperary Motorists to take care at Walshpark Junction
Sinn Féin Councillor and General Election candidate, Cllr Carol Nolan has today called on motorists to take care at the Walshpark junction after receiving reports of two incidents at the junction in the past week.
Cllr Nolan said:
“I have been contacted by local people who wish to highlight the danger of this junction after reports of two road traffic accidents at the junction within the past few days.
“Locals have suggested that there is a need for greater safety measures including signage and lighting.
“I have passed these concerns onto the relevant officials in Tipperary County Council and I have asked them to visit the site and examine the potential for greater safety measures.
“The junction intersects two of the busiest secondary routes in the county and it is important that any safety works needed are carried out as soon as possible before someone is seriously injured or worse.
“In the meantime I am urging all motorists to take particular care on the approach to this junction to reduce the risk of incidents.”
