Mayor of South Dublin Launches Local Enterprise Week
Mayor of South Dublin, Cllr Sarah Holland, has launched the 2016 Local Enterprise Week.
The South Dublin Local Enterprise Office put together an interesting series of events aimed at showing local businesses what supports are available to them.
Cllr Holland said:
“Local Enterprise Week is an exciting initiative and has been highly successful year after year.
LEO clients such as the Irish Fairy Door Company and Pewter Games will be a key part of the week’s events, sharing their experiences and expertise.”
South Dublin LEO provided over €600,000 in grant aid to 32 local businesses in 2015, supporting the creation of 57 new full-time jobs.
South Dublin County Council will also be launching a series of Business Support initiatives for 2016, and over 1,200 clients have availed of training or support clinics during the last year.
Cllr Holland said
“We aim to make South Dublin County the best place in Ireland to live, work and do business and the LEO office helps deliver vital support services to local businesses.
I’m sure this week will be a big success and I look forward to hearing from up and coming young entrepreneurs.”
