Significant step forward for Desertcreat emergency services training college - O'Neill
Sinn Féin MLA Michelle O'Neill has said significant progress has been made on the delivery of the emergency services training facility at Desertcreat.
The Sinn Féin Agriculture Minister and Mid Ulster MLA said;
"Today's decision at the Executive represents a significant step forward towards the delivery of the emergency services training facility at Desertcreat.
"We will now see the Fire and Rescue Services locate its training facilities at Desercreat, which will include a fire station as well as training areas and teaching accommodation.
"This huge investment of £101 million in Mid Ulster is a great news story for the local area.
"Not only will this facility at Desercreat improve training for the Fire and Rescue Service but it will also provide a major boost to the economy and construction sector.
"This is further evidence of Sinn Féin delivering for the Mid Ulster area."
